Destination Wedding Venues
Here at TWG HQ we’re impatiently waiting for winter to end and for the cold to go away…constantly thinking of our next holiday and dreaming of the sun on our skin!
So many of our brides are choosing destination weddings, we thought we’d have a look at our fav places to get married!
With any type of wedding comes the pressure to choose an amazing venue, you have to decide on the perfect location before you can even begin to think about anything else. Our top two things to consider before choosing the location are Guest List and Time Of Year!
Firstly it’s important to have a guest list in mind before considering a venue, some venues may only cater to certain numbers or have minimum numbers to host, remember some locations are more difficult to access so more planning will be required for higher guest numbers, accommodation close to the venue is also always an important factor to consider! If you have a guest list in mind then it’s much easier to choose somewhere that ticks all the right boxes! How stressful would it be to choose the perfect venue in the perfect location, only to realise an important family member couldn’t attend due to restricted access or there wasn’t enough space to add on that really important plus one!
Secondly, we think the time of year is something to really consider! You need to check out your guest list and see who the most important people are…do they have restrictions on when they will be able to attend your wedding? Once you’ve figured that out you need to see where you’d like your wedding, some countries have wet/hurricane seasons that will need to be avoided. It’s also a good time to have a look at either side of high season to avoid crowds and to have more choice of accommodation if it’s not provided by your venue!
Here a few of our fav destination wedding venues!
1.Bali
Bali is of course No.1! We are attending a wedding here later this year and we CANNOT wait!!!
Bali is totally beautiful, it has lots of different types of venues, the weather is great all year round and the destination can double up as your honeymoon!

2. Santorini
The tranquil blue skies and glistening white washed houses of Santorini perched on the volcanic cliffs above the Aegen sea provide an idyllic backdrop for couples to get married.
Santorni has the most beautiful sunsets in the world, the weather is beautiful (I’m convinced the sun is different in Greece), the food and wine are gorgeous and the venues and accommodation are just stunning!

3. Amalfi Coast
Known as Italy’s best kept secret, the Amalfi Coast gives unprecedented views from any location!
This magical place is more than just first impressions. It doesn’t amaze people only as they approach the coastline, but it offers more surprises as they embark from the vehicle to start their journey in the Amalfi Coast’s hotels, castles, churches, museums, and other attractions.

4. Mallorca
Mallorca has lately become one of the top wedding destinations for many couples from all over the world. The sunlight and the nice temperature ensure couples a dreamy memory in an idyllic setting. Wedding season truly lasts almost the whole year in Mallorca, but June and September are on the top as the weather conditions are prime.
